The purpose of this mod: offer additional link types and banners on your directory.
The phpLD Sponsors mod made by phpldaddons.com is probably the richest and most configurable of its kind. This mod is available for free as part of the phpLD Expansion Pack or as a separate download suitable for already esablished directories. The current version is compatible with phpLD 3.2 and phpLD 3.3.

Supported link types
- Sitewide link - shown on all pages of your directory
- Mainpage links - shown only on your directory homepage
- Category links - shown only on a specific category and all its subcategories
- Sitewide banner - shown on all pages of your directory; available in two modes: static and rotate
Extra features
- Enable users to submit a description for each text link - makes the links look more natural
- Use a banner instead of text links (the banners on this site's sidebar are generated this way)
- Set limits on all submission fields directly from the admin
- Enable disable link types directly from the admin
- Set prices and subscription periods directly from the admin
